When Donald M. Kerr founded the High Desert Museum in 1982, he
sought to make it unlike any other museum – and one that
engaged people in many ways.
It continues in that spirit today, with many ways to get
involved, from adopting a rescued bobcat or other animal at the
Museum and helping to provide its food and care, to
volunteering as a Living History character and portraying a
homesteader on the High Desert frontier.
And becoming a Museum member gives you not only free admission
for a year, but also gives you access to exclusive events and
other privileges.
The Museum counts on your support in its work, caring for more
than 100 rescued animals, thousands of priceless artifacts, and
inspiring people with the nature and culture of our region.
It’s easy!
