Volunteer at the Museum

Teen Volunteer Program

The High Desert Museum Teen Volunteer Program is a high quality, service - oriented program designed for teens with a desire to share the message of the High Desert Museum through educational activities and service for guests of the Museum.  The program requires a year long commitment.

Applications are due May 12,  2010.  Teens from 13 – 18 years old are welcome to apply.

Note: there is a mandatory Volunteer Orientation on May 22, 2010 from 9:30 to 4:00 pm that all potential volunteers need to attend. More info here - please bring a bag lunch.

Teens who are accepted to the program through a review process will participate in a week long Interpretive and Customer Service Training June 21 – June 25, 2010.  Once teens have passed the initial workshop, they may interview for any content area they wish to participate in.  Content areas are below.  Please click on each individual content area for specific volunteer requirements.
